one rippling in the pool

one blazing in a warm sky

citrus blossoms mix in a breeze

that sifts through my arm’s hair

birds are quiet as I lay back

and in the listening quiet

my soul’s tank slowly fills

with a sweet peace

close your eyes

and wait till it stops

or keep them open

if you want to figure out

who’s pumping

today’s silence
