Summer Should Never be Winter - Oct. 29, 2022

God damn it’s hot

should never

be as cursed

Jesus Christ it’s cold

I never thought

I’d get goosebumps

while burning up

but my skin crawls

in this heat and I do

complain bitterly

as Palm Springs’ summers

finally meet my memory

of upstate New York winters

I just never imagined

hot and cold

would be

buddies in hell
