The Tiniest Star - Aug. 25, 2021

in the sea of darkness

love appears as the smallest

star among the billions

and billion of others

I’m looking through my

telescope on a moonless night

desperate enough to kidnap

a missing moon for comfort

the sages say in the very

dust under our shoes lies

the entrance to a galaxy

of every known piece of light

and with the right eyes and

ears you’d hear welcome home

and without them well

it’s why love is the tiniest

star in the outermost galaxy
