A Nightlight Called Hope - August 9, 2024

it’s hard to praise love itself

so receivers of it thank broadcasters

and broadcasters thank receivers

it is simply the current between two

that pleasant static in mutual greeting

the energy surge when a heart overloads

the exception is on cold dark nights

when you’re alone and lonely

without explanation and against

the dynamics of meshed energy

it powers a nightlight called hope

to help you find your way home
