A Summer Moon will Do - Feb. 18, 2024

if I could talk to anyone

I’d interview an angel

there can be nothing like

their angle on love

few words said in perfect innocence

would probably spark a flame  

burn every lie and illusion  

and the walls around my heart

but if one isn’t available

then a summer moon will do

she who always listens to others

I’d ask for her take

on how the world is trending

and her lover the sun of course

her craving light seems to

mirror our struggle to shine

in a clouded if not

storm-weary world

that feels light years away
