At the Carwash - Oct. 10, 2022

we pamper them

occasionally don’t we?

reward our metal slaves

for their sacrifice


a warm wash and

wipe down massage

to shine like clean teeth

big grins for the road


under the master’s foot

again they strain

groan sweat

their hard dirty work


and happiness

just a show

a fake smile

for a little awhile
