Concert of Wind - Oct. 23, 2024

how does air have no substance

yet the wind can be so pushy

I’d ask physics to explain

except subcellular exposés

would only bring this poet down

who isn’t aware that trees don’t dance

the sun doesn’t really rise

and crawl across the sky

stars don’t wink  waterfalls don’t sing

and the moon has never been lonely

what about love  can they explain

how those pre-warmed atoms become

airborne and shoot back and forth

which some people send and receive

all the time while others never engage

in that matter and energy

hold on - just forget I asked

why ruin a delightful afternoon concert

of a breeze playing for the trees
