down the splintered mountain
across dewy fields of diamonds
mist parting with her big behind
I rush to dress and stub a toe
which reminds me how my body
arrives in this world a roped slave
dragged everywhere to haul the
acquired needs and wants
right left and U-turned
pulled ahead dragged back
in desperate circles
ending in dead ends
I think it’s a miracle
anyone ends up
finding a decent sunset
to watch wink out
