down the splintered mountain

across dewy fields of diamonds

mist parting with her big behind


I rush to dress and stub a toe

which reminds me how my body

arrives in this world a roped slave

dragged everywhere to haul the

acquired needs and wants

right left and U-turned

pulled ahead dragged back

in desperate circles

ending in dead ends



I think it’s a miracle

anyone ends up

finding a decent sunset

to watch wink out
