Daylight's Dead Ends - Feb. 2, 2022

moonlight

is a metaphor

and stars similes

for a turn in fortune

in the upbeat omen of a comet

or a falling star we chase to

catch in our net of hope

for isn’t night the crystal ball

we search for clues about tomorrow?

feeling somewhere out there

someone or something is

putting together a

surprise we won’t

see coming
