Don't sit Pretty, live Ugly - Dec. 24, 2020

if you trip while running

you might break a leg

which is better than dying

or is it if you take off flying

before checking the landing gear

and touch down in a precarious future

something always thinks

if you crawl into yourself and keep quiet

you’ll remain unscathed

falling or crashing

frequently carves scars on skin

the road map of where one's been

play it too safe and your own soul

turns into the torturer

that plans your murder

it always starts

with slices of your heart
