Doubt and its Shadows - Jan. 27, 2021

I see you lurking

under a sliver of a moon

bedraggled ghostly

gray lifeless

then as a cloud passes

your shadows break into my desolation

steal a few gloomy drops

that run down my cheeks

if it’s clarity you can’t stand

why use your shady demons

to deliver messages of

mistrust and skepticism?

come out of the dark

and show me your real face
