Eyeballs - Oct. 7, 2026

in a generation

money could be invisible,

kept in computer clouds,

we’ll buy things with our eyeball

and driverless cars will take us to stores

where robots stock shelves, answer

questions and take payment,

again, with our eyeball

life will be pixel friendly,

with screens, lot and lots of screens

that we'll touch, carry and watch

with those same eyeballs

and if I am still around,

will I admire those golden wasps

that carefully land and drink the water

pooled on my lily pads,

the same way I do now?

or will my eyes become

too smart to care
