Feeding the Poemless - March 7, 2021

it’s ready-made takeout

boxed on a rock*

a lemonade stand giveaway

of words sweet or spiced

home-cooked for the soul

so what does a sandwich

of lyrics locally sourced

with ingredients

unpreserved and unpredictable

taste like you may ask?

the reviews

are all over the place

but one thing I know for certain

nothing ever served will spoil

even if the craving does

*for those who don’t know, I have

a Poetry Rock I tend to daily,

in front of my house
