Happy Father’s Day - June 16, 2024

Wait!  3 boxes of chocolate-covered

strawberries  two bouquets of flowers

all from one daughter?

is it something we did

or will do? (there’re two fathers

in this family)

maybe it’s butter for the throat

of a big favor so the NO stays

swallowed and the YES can’t

be held back

a piece of white chocolate

falls from my mouth with

a drop of strawberry juice

so deliciously eye-rolling

so beyond agreeable

and forgivingly good
