Hope Inside the Horizon - March 5, 2022

have you ever heard a single bird sing

“I never want to fall in love again”?

the 360-degree broadcast of intent

the purity of tone

and whole-body vibrato

proves what it’s looking for

not a plea for attention

from a tiny audience

or just a song of joy

but to pound sound waves

that smash onto the ears of many

until one airmails a return

perhaps a short greeting to close

the gap on their echoes

and include instructions

to meet on the bridge

above that fast moving

river of need
