doors close rivers turn people walk out of sight a gardenia’s scent fades after ten steps

a cackle of crows becomes a bluebird solo

imagination is music not yet composed

who knows what waits around the corner

the unknown keeps me moving forward

a promise of rewards lies in wait

packages of mystery without an address

I’m glad I can’t see so far
