Look into a Whale's Eye - Dec. 18, 2024

in pictures they seem to peer out

from an ocean of wisdom

in reality they see the world

a blurry gray worse than the

feeble-eyed grandmother

without her glasses

I think it’s important

to see them cannonball

on the surface romp

with their children in the

shallows before they nose

dive into the untold legends

for the lives we know only

curl in waves at the surface

their real characters develop

in a plot still being written

unfolding heroes

if there are any

deep into the story

hopefully before the end
