Of Fate and Feathers - June 12, 2021

  • 1 min read

at her house she watches

two doves in love

pamper a nestling

at mine I see

a pair of males

compete for a bride

hers do a

bob and coo

a beak of food

a scan for danger

mine a peck and

shoulder bump

cut off landings

aerial pursuits

this morning a rat

climbs her tree

here a courtship

is decided

both leave conclusive evidence

feathers in the wind
