Other Moons - Nov. 10, 2023

Gary Hunter

are there other poets

on other planets

looking up at other moons

that wax and wane like love?

other creatures with lovers

and others without

that gaze up

when they feel down?

other blue skies

which hide other stars

that come out at night

to merge with other wishes?

and is their daylight poetry like ours

different from moonlit lyrics

one describing

the life they have

the other pleading

for what they don’t
