what can be more easy-going

than a cirrus cloud

floating anywhere it wants

until fate grabs it

and a bunch of others

and crushes them into

a storm that batters the earth

 

don’t we at times

get caught in a shift so great

and hard to fathom

it causes us to weep

and fall on seeds

destiny has planted

 

yes  quite often

an ugly garden of weeds

we must work to cut down

 

but occasionally

one that explodes

with flowers
