Swatting Flies - July 10, 2022

I don’t like killing curiosity

with the back of a hand

I think “shoo” is enough

to wave at their wings

for every idea I let go

which returns

flitting with excitement

could become the poem

that replaces the one

smashed on paper

which had no business

being there
