curled over crouched knees

applying adhesive and

pressing tiles for ten hours

advice that might prevent your back

from turning ceramic later

that cracks as it bends

on hinges of grout

like mine has

whose groans live in the throat

each one an angered mother

pointing their finger

and yelling

I told you so!
