The Foundation of Okay - Oct. 8, 2026

I hope most days for you

are at least okay

that you see enough sun

to accept the cloudy days

that relationships are mostly in order

there’s enough money to pay bills,

travel a bit, buy some clothes, eat out

and see a movie once in awhile

and though contentment may not be

swimming along, it floats with you,

keeps your head above water,

makes you want to continue

another day in this imperfect world

with your own imperfect life

if you agree that the average day

is mostly unexciting, it’s really

the foundation of our years, isn’t it?

the wide base from which we

erect the life we want,

as strong as we can

knowing

earthquakes will come

earthquakes are coming
