The Garden of Patience - April 16, 2021

Gary Hunter

you know that quiet pressure

put on ripening corn

and reddening tomatoes?

the encouragement of hungry

caresses or a trowel to weed out

time’s laziness or hack away at other

root-bound reasoning

makes me appreciate how

patience picks its harvest

unblemished every time

needing only a slight tug

from the hand

of grace
