no two days alike

and yet they’re all the same

 

it’s a well-chiseled schedule

we know what lies ahead

 

doctor one day

cleaning ladies the next

another with bingo and lunch

a gym day then grocery shopping

the Friday movie and dinner out

with time gaps for afternoon naps

 

which probably explains

why predictability

secretly craves surprises

 

oh but PLEASE God

   only the good ones
