climate change is really happening
everyone is running hot and cold
some toss anger at shadows
or are caught in a deluge
of despair from a blue sky
or insulted by a cold wind
on a pleasant day
kindness
the summers
we used to have
winter weather now far more
dangerous inside than out
the fall from grace
more predictable than ever
there’s one season though - spring
where hope is still planted
watered with prayers
and coddled by hearts
who know that one chance
in hell might be more likely
than any heavenly miracle
