The Unsaid Stuff - Dec. 22, 2024

relationships are noisy

necessities require practical noises

dinners to coordinate

appointments to schedule

groceries to pickup

movies to choose

then there’s the "who recently did

something for the other so the other

should do something for them?"

let’s never forget heated discussions

using different phrases at higher volumes

with a few unforgivables thrown in

and what about the words imprisoned inside

each carrying a backpack of feelings

that weigh heavier and heavier

the longer the incarceration

sometimes they are truths

that puncture bonds of friendship

other times

it can be love driving

a stake into someone

they never want to lose
