friendly clouds

cheerful blue sky

a kind sun


with eyes closed

the world is a gray picture


opened emotions can give

mountains an approachability


or a bird hits the perfect notes

to sing of a hopeful day ahead


a bench and the tree above them

seem delighted with your visit


and in a moment of wonder

your existence suddenly

unrelated to feelings or senses

but the universe has swallowed you

and left something extraordinary

and just out of reach
