for many reasons we need the sun

swimming and solar panels

that amaryllis bulb on the kitchen sill

when we’re desperately cold or

even more desperate to

dispel the darkness

old Gracie’s been at the vets

for two whole days and

there’s one gray cloud

hovering above me

following me

everywhere I go
