Ways to serve God

most usually just say God

and deliver Him to others like He’s

a grilled cheese sandwich on white

but some like to use a spice cabinet

full of adjectives and adverbs and

a variety of cooking methods

to flavor their offering

those having a really bad moment

have been known to prepare

and serve Him this way

blacken both sides over a high flame

drench in a ghost pepper sauce

and slap it cold on anyone’s plate

who insisted you cook for them
