We Could Sure use a little Pity over Here - April 8, 2024

remember not too long ago

we didn’t think much about

handling a dozen things a day

and now we struggle

as that number slowly

shrinks to one

I guess us older folks thought

if we shaved and whittled

cut out this and that

Life would pity a simpler life

that as we shrank

our problems would too

and what we've learned is

the world will keep pounding

on your door  until you

don’t answer anymore
