Wildfire Heart - Sept. 11, 2021

Gary Hunter

read the obituary of a rascal today

a man who took big bites of life

and shared the rest with everyone

bald round glasses and a goatee

his clothes never fit the personality

street corner scoundrel in a three piece

smile his approach a social hurricane

welcomed by his sunny victims

a warning to the shady ones

blazing embers for eyes meant

only one thing his heart had

no more room to burn

a small tragedy

to not have known you

Dr. Asa John DeMatteo

forget peace . . . rage in frivolity
