You Can Always Double Back - Oct. 22, 2025

Do you always turn right

at every junction, split

or T in the road?

Is it a practiced movement

automatic, no thought,

the usually safe choice?

I suggest every once in awhile

take a left.

You can always double back

if too uncomfortable or shocking

or stick around and find something

uplifting or awaiting a challenge.

equally possible as far as odds go

No matter what happens,

I’m sure you won’t forget allowing

your left foot a chance to choose

new and hurry a heartbeat,

or the unsettling danger of letting go.
