A Feast called Living May 27, 2020

starting with those

wild appetizers of youth

you drank to your heart’s content

sampled the bitter greens of disappointment

devoured the sumptuous entrees of

friendship and love and ate far

too many sweet memories for dessert

I hope you’ve had the time of your life

and as the evening winds down before your

ride arrives it would be appropriate to

step outside alone and remember

hasn’t your time on this earth always been

about celebrating with the nice guests all the moments you could stand to taste every flavor

of need and desire and then go for more

before you put one gluttonous finger on

the door handle please remember to

thank someone for this banquet in your honor

remember your manners remember gratitude
