wait till the ladies

back at the hive

hear about this!

 

finding this huge crimson flower

she can’t believe her luck

and like

a new neighborhood bar

will probably return

over and over

to drink with the girls

 

while I shoo away

this persistent bee

who’s frantic to land

on my red hoody

as I stand outside my car

 

before I wrote this poem

I never imagined

a bee might have feelings
