watched a raven pick around
the cigarette butts in an ash tray
and swallow pieces of sand
had no idea they needed
fiber to help digest
their thievery
I’m not sure I’d know
what a constipated raven
would act like
though you might notice
something was off
if I was avoiding
my daily dose
of gravel
