if nature only followed

Darwin’s survival of the fittest,

why are the leaves of fall

red, yellow, gold and orange

 

why are rainbows

even more colorful

than leaves?

 

and how does

a bloodthirsty wolf

become the shih-tzu

cuddling on my lap

 

and explain why love,

that helps us endure

life and face death
