ever puzzled why

Daylight Savings always feels

like the purchase of

more darkness

or that you must have signed

some contract in deep shade

left it out in the rain

then couldn’t read it anyway?

no one seems to get ahead

at the poker table of light

when losing is the game

in a clockless place

when Fall is the dealer

and the truth so obviously

short on windows
