I cry when I hear

a lost puppy was found

 

I cry if I see a person’s

dream come true

 

I cry when someone finds love

and says the word out loud

 

I cried once  standing in a field

looking up at a billion stars

 

it’s for good things I cry

and never the terrible

 

that sadness comes mixed

with too much anger

 

my tears use my eyes

to squeeze what is

in my heart
