midafternoon and so far

I’ve had rooibos third eye chai

a brewed cacao from Ghana

and two Chinese greens

tea all dug out

from the back of the top shelf

old gifts and dusty purchases

never tried unopened

hot drinks to explore

for the palette

of a fluid feast

as I cleanse my colon

for a curious camera

tomorrow morning

this lonely time

for the taste buds

is the perfect time

to meet new flavors

maybe even a new friend
