Smarter Than They Look - March 7, 2026

a mango tree celebrates spring

with dozens of births on a single stem

and every time, you’re lucky

if one of them reaches the table

they’re smarter than they look,

usually wise enough to drop most

of the junior fruit before the snap

of an overloaded branch

kind of like loving yourself means

not being so accommodating

as others would want, saying no

a lot more than you did before

remember

blushing skin, clear eyes,

rosy cheeks, normally means

you’ve soaked up enough self-love

to build one sweet-tasting life
