when you can’t stay

and you’re not ready

to leave

close your eyes

slow the breath

be very quiet

your gut knows

how to escape

the trap you’re in

hear it

believe it

trust it

it will free you

from the lip

of the nest

just spread

the wings

and let go

to fall or fly

is part will

all fate
