after 70 years it no longer hurts and I don’t mourn or even sigh in silence at the end of a day I’m OK letting another one go whatever piece of my life has been cut from me no longer bleeds for each day is full whole-hearted giving helpfulness fun and this poetry the moon is my timepiece no hour or minute hand to rush the night or slow dawn’s light I am on contented time what’s-next time carefree time child’s time oh yes that ready to awaken and run with somebody somewhere in the sun time
