The Trouble with Tea - Jan. 14, 2022

it’s a trip to Buckingham Palace

when the bus has stalled

and I must walk

to meet the queen

with a gift of cream

she’s delayed

like the breakfast dishes

the plant watering

my morning shower

still I wait I do try

but my mouth won’t heed

the tongue’s warning

branding its shouts

onto my lips

and that my friends

is the trouble

with tea
