Yesterday's Shadow May 10, 2020

Last week's whale breach

an incident my pen lavishes

across a page of memory

Deck-side today another lazy sea

skin-warming sun nodding sail

touchable blue heaven

A morning to be embedded

in the shadow of a gentle wave

merging with the swell

of tomorrow
