that God created the earth, Adam

and Eve and all creatures in 7 days

                          or

Darwin’s planet is forever adjusting

and reforming its flora and fauna

                          or

this place is a trick of the mind,

a maya, an illusion that isn’t real

but

all should agree that the arrival

of love made the whole shebang

better-smelling and embraceable
