You play pickleball 3 times per week, just got a promotion and

raise for a job you love, your son is graduating high school,

your daughter – college, the wife adores you, and those

flower Beds are finally weed free. Then you find out

your right knee will need replacement very soon

your company is being purchased by another

the son wants to buy a motorcycle and the

college graduate reminds you she has

six figures in student loans, as you

overhear your wife invite her

father to move in with you.

So you step outside for

air and notice behind

one bush a network

of mole holes and

suddenly you are

the single beam

of a flashlight

staring into

the face

of the

dark
