Hurricane Bread - Sept. 6, 2023

haven’t made bread in 40 years

haven’t had a hurricane in 80

it’s a Greek bread kneaded with lots of olive oil

my sandbags look like bagged loaves

it should be a fun party if not theatrical

Greek salad with greased lightening

bites of kebob with deep-throated thunder

olive bread to pillow all the flavors

and swallow the drama

and some good Greek wine

to soften what’s coming
