like I would seeing an old friend

or a giant cloud passing over a hot day

as if they’re a cute dog trick

or a hotdog after the mustard and relish is applied

similar to holding a baby

or after a very long hike

and finally the waterfall

similes spread my lips wide

metaphors on the other hand

open my mouth and

keep it open
