there’s a branch that needs to be cut

bending d

n blocking our walkway

heavy with leaf and life

it hangs with the weight of success

many forks extended stems

doubling the green of other boughs

I have loped these off before many times

but this vitality hits a deep feeling

if someone snipped off my passion

that would be the end
